So far

The clean-eating thing is actually quite enjoyable. Yes, it does require a little bit more cooking and preparation, but I think it's totally worth it. I feel better about myself and my health by doing this.
That being said, it's been off and on the past few days. Hopefully I can get to a point where I'm just eating clean all the time.

Here's an example of what I might eat during a clean-eating day:

Breakfast: 1 serving of 5-grain hot cereal with milled flaxseed, cinnamon, walnuts, strawberries and blueberries

Snack: Almonds

Lunch: 2 pieces of 7 Sprouted Grain toast, an apple, and some all natural peanut butter

Snack: Carrots and cucumber with probiotic hummus

Dinner: Homemade soup comprised of mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, cannellini beans, and spices, and some bread/toast on the side

So yeah. It's not so bad so far!

I will admit, however, that I have not begun any cardio :/
I'm always full of excuses.
I'm not working at all this coming week until (maybe) Thursday, so I plan on getting started with that tomorrow.
Hopefully waking up early and going for a run, or heading over to the Y at some point.
We'll see, but I definitely have to start doing something.
I'm sure my next weigh-in update will be frightfully similar to the last one.
Time to get moving, literally!

Beginning Stats

So this is my official starting point:

Age: 20 years
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 148.2 lbs

Bust: 36"
Under Bust: 33"
Waist: 28"
Stomach & Love: 36"
Hips & Butt: 40"

Right Arm: 11"
Left Arm: 11"
Right Thigh: 24"
Left Thigh: 23.5"
Right Calf: 14"
Left Calf: 14.5"

Definitely the largest I've ever been.
I will do a post like this once a week, to chart progress.

As for my plans to get these numbers lower, I'm going to start off by eating clean every other day, and doing cardio on the days I'm not eating clean.
I'm really trying to ease myself into this, because I've failed before by trying to do too much too soon.
Definitely ready to get the ball rolling here!

Background Info

So basically, I had just started to get into modeling when all of a sudden my life got really chaotic. I ended up gaining about 15 pounds because of my anxiety, stress, and incessant over-eating.
Not only did this ruin my chances of modeling, but it destroyed any confidence I may have had in myself or my body.

But now I'm ready for all of that to change.
Although my main goal for this blog is to start modeling again, my ultimate goal is to simply be more comfortable and confident with my body.
I'd like to lose about 20 pounds and tone up my whole body, all while becoming much, much healthier.

For this blog, I will be posting weekly updates, including progress so far and goals for the following week. I might also include some pictures, to document progress.

I will post up my beginning stats and measurements tomorrow.

As for the rest of my life, I'm currently a 3rd year Business/Marketing student, I co-own a vintage clothing store, I'm a part-time receptionist at a dental office, and I work part-time in a retail store. I also do some other side jobs, like photographing weddings and watching dogs. I basically take any opportunity I can get to make money, because I will be moving into an apartment in the beginning of August.
